Real Estate
I represent clients with a wide range of real matters from residential transactions to commercial leasing, boundary and easement disputes and beyond. I also assist individuals who are “carrying a note” on seller-financing foreclose on defaulting loans.
Landlord/Tenant
Oregon landlord/tenant law is much more complex than most people think. In addition, Oregon appellate courts have made it clear that when a Landlord makes a mere technical error even before the filing of a case (and even if made in good faith), he should lose his case and will very likely be have to pay his Tenant’s attorney’s fees. In addition, the Oregon Legislature makes changes to landlord/tenant law more frequently than any other body of law. For these reasons it is important to contact competent legal counsel before taking any legal action in this area.

Fair Housing
Fair housing litigation and prosecution is on the rise. Unfortunately many fair housing problems can surprise the most diligent of landlords. That is why it is important to have a knowledgeable attorney to help you avoid making common mistakes, which may be perceived as discriminatory and to represent and defend you if a fair housing complaint is filed against you.
